My Shopbop Spring Sale Top Picks

Apr 11, 2018

Shopbop is one of my favorite retailers.  I love the selection of fashion-forward pieces and the regularity of the new arrivals.  This week, they’re hosting a 25%-off sale on most brands with code EVENT18.  From designer pieces to affordable trends, you can stock your spring/summer closet at a discount.

I have seen this Free People dress ($108) on a lot of bloggers this season.  I would style it with a pair of black sandals, a pair of earrings, and a simple ($29) crossbody bag.

This Splendid Floral Blouse ($128) has a great mix of colors.  From bright peach to navy to white to black, I think this top is a versatile layering piece.  I would wear it with a modern black business suit to give it a feminine vibe.

Going on vacation?  Want to stroll down a sunny beach in the perfect, breezy vacay dress?  This JOA Eyelet Dress ($103) is it.  If you’d like a bit more coverage, try this ruffle-sleeve fit-and-flare.  Plus size? Try this $30 eyelet wrap dress from Target.

One of the best parts of Shopbop is the jewelry department.  The pieces are always so unique.  These Zoe Chic Double Huggie Pearls are so much fun.  A bit on the pricey side at $395, but lovely.  these Jules Smith wrap around studs are a cool alternative for just $40.

A chic leather jacket (or faux leather, as the case may be) is the way to go during this sale.  This BB Dakota jacket clocks in at an affordable $105.  If you’re in the mood to splurge, the French brand Mackage has a leather jacket that is the ultimate if cool-girl chic.

This blouse from Rolla is good for work with a simple trouser and chunky cardigan.  It’s also good weekend with a flare-leg jean and hoop earring.  And it’s a very affordable $94.

Do you shop the Shopbop sale?  And if so, what do you look for?  I tried to choose some wonderful mid-price items, but if you’re a designer shopper, this is a rare opportunity to save.

As for myself, I keep eyeing this C/Meo Collective dress.  But I think I may stick to easy pieces that I can wear to work, like this Veronica Beard blouse.  Happy hunting, fellow Shopboppers!

what are your recommendations for summer sandals to wear with ‘nice’ dresses? I don’t mind wearing flip flops and stuff for casual sundresses, but I have some nicer summer dresses and I don’t want to wear with heels.

I can’t wear gladiator style or anything with ankle straps because somehow they all make my ankles/calves look dumpy. I also prefer a look with thinner straps than the ones you’ve linked to recently. Thanks!

Note on that Free People top: the print is adorable, but the fit is no good. It’s just too much fabric, so I looked 4 feet wide and very short-waisted.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
