Last week, I posted my work picks for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. With public access to the sale beginning today the 21st, I wanted to post my favorite (still in stock) casual pieces. And the best part most of the pieces are under-$100. (I keep almost buying that AllSaints tote; I either need to buy it or put it out of my mind.)
Paige Hoxton Ankle Jeans ($99)
Several of my friends purchased these jeans, every one of them said they were a must.
Plus Size Karen Kane Bell Sleeve Dress ($105)
Steve Madden Effect Bootie ($87)
Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan ($77)
Plus-Size Caslon Slim Utility Pants ($69)
Nadri Edwardian Ear Crawlers ($29)
Topshop Drawstring Sleeve Top ($44)
Thank you for always *always* including options for plus size shoppers. As someone who is really on the cusp, it’s nice to be included in the mix with the other suggestions, and not always tucked away in the last line of a post with something like “If you’re plus sized, this is all I could scrape up [link]” which is what I find happens on other sites (…Kat).
I tend to put things at the end only so that people know where to look for them. It’s tough for us who aren’t in that size range to know what will look good, so I just pick things I would want to wear.
We appreciate it! The thought you put in is nice. Thank you for a great blog (reading for…7 years?!).
Yes, but can we have petite sizes back too please? 🙂
Seconded! I also appreciate that the plus-size offerings look similar to their straight sized counterparts.
I got the All Saints tote, really glad I did. I considered returning it for about .4 seconds because the smaller strap isn’t quite long enough to make it a comfortable shoulder strap but I was willing to let that go. It’s a beautiful, versatile, well-made bag.
The public sale starts tomorrow!
Yes – this post gave me a start! I thought I missed the chance to snag my wishlist items.
My boyfriend just pointed this out. Damn. I had it on my calendar for the wrong day.
I tried on the Halogen top listed in the store. It is very cute. With that said, the material is pretty thin so you can see through it. It was very noticeable close to the waistline of the pants I had on as they showed very clearly through the material. Even the salesperson said she wished it was a thicker material.
Agreed – the photo shows the top as opaque, but it’s really quite sheer. You could see the seams through when I tried it on.
Argh, these are nice but it does seem like somewhat slim pickings. And the public sale hasn’t even started yet! I’m assuming this is just supply v. demand, but a grumpy part of me thinks Nordy purposefully kept low-ish stock so we’d all be tempted to get the credit card next year.
Thanks for your suggestions! I just purchased the All Saints bag – can’t wait to see it in person!
