My Favorite Weekend Sales

Jun 2, 2017

Stylebop // Summer Sale

Stylebop is not a particularly well-known store.  Think Net-a-Porter, but with a much better sale section.  I’ve shopped there sporadically over the years, but I never miss their huge sale at the start of the summer.  This year, the sale features over 9,000 items.

My favorite pieces in this sale include a navy Burberry trench (marked down to $953 from $1,589) and this DvF overlay black dress (marked down to $216 from $309).  The sale also has 11 pages of items under-$100.  The greatest hits from that group include this APC striped linen top, this Ralph Lauren metallic top, and this Velvet fluid blouse.

The items in this sale tend to go quickly, so get in early.  You will not regret it.

Nordstrom // Half-Yearly Runs Through June 4th

If you haven’t hit up the half-yearly sale yet, I would recommend taking a look.  If you have already shopped, sort by newest to see the new markdowns they added.  The sale has some great summer shoes including these fun $59 Halogen slingbacks and these $84 Sam Edelman work pumps.  I used the sale to pick up some workout wear including these Zella cropped leggings.

Saks Off 5th // Direct from Saks Sale // Code: BIGDEAL for Extra 20%-Off

Off 5th has a huge sale going on the items that came straight from the Saks stores.  The brands include names like Jimmy Choo, Oscar de la Renta, and Alice + Olivia.  For work, I like this DvF body suit, a blush Parker blouse, and a maroon Theory dress.

The sizes are limited, so this sale is the most work of the three.  I would start by looking for designers you love and go from there.  Somewhat unrelated, but I also picked up some cute pool accessories to give as gag gifts this holiday.

My dark under eye circles have been the bane of my existence since I was 12. Is the cause lack of sleep? Dehydration? Sinus issues? Stress? Who the hell knows. But there they are, every day, telling the world that I am an exhausted working Mom.

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
