My Latest DIY. This anti-inflammatory face mask, using turmeric powder.

Recently, I was with my best friend while she shopped for a one piece to hide some post-baby stretch marks she’s self-conscious about. She tried on a bunch of suits that looked great and was about to pull the trigger when she decided to try on the Trina Turk suit you linked to above just in case- neither of us particularly liked it on the hanger. But once she had it on, that was it. She looked incredible! Even the sales people who were helping us were raving over how good she looked. It made me totally jealous that I can’t find any one pieces long enough for my torso. Haha. FYI for DC readers who want to try before they buy- she found this at the South Moon Under location in Clarendon. It’s also on their website if Nordstrom doesn’t have your size.
Hi Belle – great blazer suggestion. A bit ago you recommended another amazing blazer. It was cream, and the end of its sleeves blossomed out. I remember it was from Lord and Taylor. At the time, I didn’t have a chance to buy it. Would you mind sending a link again or some type of way to find it? Thank you, Mariya
When you tried the turmeric face mask, did it dye your skin yellow? My face was super yellow after and it took a good day to come off after much scrubbing with oil (turmeric is oil soluble, apparently). Maybe I used too much turmeric, I don’t know, but I won’t be repeating that again. I would advice anyone testing it out to make sure they don’t have anywhere to be immediately afterward.
It was a little, I just did a little scrub the next morning, and it was better.
A former roommate turned me onto the turmeric face mask thing a few years ago. I definitely feel like it makes a difference with my skin. it definitely does stain your face yellow for a bit. I usually only do it when I don’t have to go anywhere until the next day so I have time to clean it off.
