The free shipping article is really interesting. For me , I find it harder and harder to shop for clothing online without free shipping. Declining quality and inconsistent sizing mean I’m likely to make returns, so the cost of shipping and/or return fees often just aren’t worth it.
7 – Outright bans are irresponsible. Common-sense measures like what some schools are pursuing re: no kegs, make sense to me, though.
Bonus – The mentality that caused this gives me a headache. One of the angry parties stated, “Women are fed up with the notion that we have to dress for people’s visual pleasure.” 1) It was a joke. 2) Since it hit a nerve…It isn’t about his, or my, or anyone else’s, “visual pleasure.” But if one must be seen, which is the case when going out, the public does not need to see the detail and layout of one’s cellulite, or the nature of their undergarments (especially the case for thinner pairs that have sheerness issues), or worst, the silhouette of one’s private regions. Seriously.
Re: yoga pants flash mob: the letter writer was clearly trying to be more Tim Gunn commenting on fashion standards than Angry Male Chauvinist who blames sexual harassment on women’s clothing choices, but with so much of the latter floating around the internet recently, I can see how readers made that mistake.
I love fur earmuffs! I have pair of brown, and a dressy black pair. I love wearing them as they don’t flatten my hair or produce static.
I just bought some fur earmuffs from Banana Republic for their Friends and Family sale. I wasn’t sure if I needed them but thought they were a good option on days when I need warmth but a hat isn’t suitable (like when I have a ponytail)! Ontario winters are fierce. Also loved the financially smart women article by Everygirl. Glad to see I’m doing most of these. I love the software YNAB for budgeting and I do it weekly!
