1) After Ailes and Cosby, a moment for more women to speak up about sexual harassment. (The New York Times)

2) I seriously CANNOT believe this Lacroix bag is $99. It looks so much more expensive.

3) Where are all the Republican women? And why aren’t they running for office? (Politico)

4) I am loving this Michael Kors Lake watch in your choice of luggage tan/gold and plum/rose gold.

5) Why you should have two drinks at a party. (Lifehacker)

6) This Benefit Ka’Brow eyebrow-filling gel is idiot proof and looks totally natural.

7) Should you be thinking about a career break? (Levo)

8) This Karen Millen dress looks like the more expensive Antonio Berardi dresses.  I also like the brand’s light, lace trim top for $85.

Re: #6, another eyebrow product I really like is the Benefit “Gimme Brow” volumizing fiber gel. It comes with a mascara-like brush that lets me apply just enough color to emphasize my brows without making them look extremely dramatic. It’s available at Sephora and Birchbox.

    • Jenn S. says:

I also prefer Gimme Brow to Ka’Brow! Ka’Brow is somewhat similar to Dipbrow by Anastasia; frankly, I prefer the latter. Shade range is better, the pot is easier to deal with.

It is nice that the benefit product comes with a brush, but now that I’ve tried it, it wouldn’t be my first choice.

    • Kelly says:

I like a combo of the Benefit “Precisely, My Brow” pencil (first, to brush and fill in really bare spots), then following up with the brow box by urban decay to fill in volume and wax in shape. All Sephora.

Used to love the Gimme Brow–still do, use it when I travel to minimize what products I’m dragging around!–but I found the other routine works better if there’s more to fill.

Loved the “two drinks at a party” article! As someone transitioning from college parties to corporate ones, it provides a nice intro for how to not be one of “those people” (the awkward teetotalers or the overgrown frat boys) at a work event.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
