1) “My co-worker threatened to tell my boss that I’m job hunting.” (Forbes)

2) This white, layered skirt from The Limited and this mint green asymmetrical skirt are affordable must-haves.

3) The First Lady Who Made Her Own Contraband Makeup. (The Cut)

4) These Ale by Alessandra sandals are the coolest I’ve seen in years.  (They must be mine.) These brightly colored tassel sandals from J.Crew also look good.

5) Why millennials work the way they do, and how to behave if you want to retain them.  (AdWeek)

6) The Outnet has some lovely new arrivals.  I like this neutral Equipment Otis top.  This red Sandro cocktail dress is also a lot of fun.  This Iris & Ink off-the-shoulder dress is not to be missed.

7) What exactly does it mean to be an ‘independent’ voter? Or how a misunderstanding fuels the growth of a political party.  (LA Times)

8) I picked up this Ted Baker Abrial dress for graduation, and it is sublime.  His color block dress with tie belt is also fab.

9) A roundup of amazing spring shoes, which definitely should have featured these chic M.Gemi Brezza flats. (Racked)

10) Anthropologie is selling the chicest beach towel in all the land. Pair it with this one-piece twist-front suit for some old Hollywood glamour.

11) A Facebook meme claims this man is the last survivor of his WWII battle group.  But who is he, really? (BBC)

12) This floral print flare dress from WHBM is one of the prettiest spring dresses that I’ve seen this season.  Florals, for spring, groundbreaking…

I’ve been looking for a dress for my own graduation, and wow, you read my mind with that Ted Baker dress. Ordered almost immediately! Thanks for sharing!

    • Belle says:

I’m so glad. I was shopping with my brother’s fiancee, and while she was in the changing room and saw it across the Nordstrom and was like, “That. Now. Ring it up.”

  2. Crystal says:

I loved number 5. Thank you so much for sharing!

I work as outside counsel for a Fortune 500 company, which means I work *all the time.* And I barely know anyone my age, in any industry, who doesn’t–yet we’re collectively labeled as “lazy.” I read an article recently lamenting the future if Millenials became the country’s attorneys, doctors, teachers, etc., and I thought, honey, do you not realize we’ve been your doctors/attorneys/teachers/engineers for several years now (and the world hasn’t ended)?!

    • Jenn S. says:

Oh my goodness preach. I’m always working, too – and, sure, I crave work-life balance like any sane person but don’t call me lazy when I’m working 12+ hour days.

  3. Lisa says:

I wanted to follow up on this post and let you know that I purchased the mint green skirt from the Limited. I love it! The fabric feels substantial, the asymmetrical hemline is beautiful, and I can tell this is quickly going to be a work horse for my weekday wear. It runs ever so slightly large and I’m going to need it darted in a bit at the waist. Thank you for the suggestion!
