10 Days of New Arrivals: White House, Black Market

White House, Black Market has some of the best work clothes on the web.  They’re pretty, conservative-enough for the office and many pieces are good for day-to-night wear.  Here are the best of their spring new arrivals.

Side Slit Sheath Dress ($160) // Double Breasted Blazer ($150) // Contrast Print Dress ($140) // High-Slit Pencil Skirt ($88)

WHBM also has a great selection of accessories.  I love these lace-up slingback flats.  And this simple bezel-set crystal necklace is very chic.

I agree – the accessories are awesome. WHBM is one of the only retailers where I’ve been able to find interesting but classy waist belts to wear over dresses. I bought two a few months ago and have worn them every single week since buying. The style is unique without looking like a flash-in-the-pan trend.

I absolutely LOVE the look of the latest WHBM line but I cannot justify spending that much for polyester and rayon. 🙁

I get this comment a lot, and what I want to ask is where are you finding natural fibers? Even Oscar de la Renta and Valentino are using Acetate. And if you’re shopping in the $60 price range instead, aren’t you just getting man-made fibers for less? I’m not criticizing, I really want to know. I shop every day for this blog, and I never see natural fibers except on Everlane or Cuyana and their quality is only, in my view, okay.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
