ASOS always has the best dresses.  They also have dresses in every price point, which is such a refreshing change for a retailer.  These five are my favorite from their new arrivals.

Premium Scuba Midi Dress ($119) // Foxiedox Mesh Insert Dress ($147) // Double Layer Wiggle Dress ($77) also in rose // Oasis Front Bodycon Dress ($77) // ASOS Stripe Dress ($77)

Front-slitted skirts/dresses are not flattering on me (and, IMO, are very hard to sit in without showing way too much leg). I’m not loving the pervasiveness of this spring trend. :/

  2. Erin says:

That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking! Why can’t designers leave well enough alone? I would buy lots of new dresses, if not for that insane front slit.

    • Crystal says:

I have, so far this “spring,” passed on 3 dresses I really liked because of the front slit. Even if I liked the look *and* had the legs of a model, how would I sit at work?! I tested and thought the results were indecent. 🙁

  3. Angela says:

Killed it with these dresses. Love.

  4. Raq says:

I love the blue scuba midi dress but I’m afraid it won’t look as good on someone really flat chested 🙁

    • Anna says:

I love the dress in theory but it looks like it’s pulling the model’s boobs down (she also seems fairly flat chested). I wonder, if you have it tailored so that it fit higher if it would actually make your chest look fuller?

  5. Courtney says:

For the record, I just received the white dress. It’s godawful in person. The color is neither cream, nor white rather it looks more like a sweat stained white t-shirt. The material feels slippery. The cut it just strange; the bubble at the hips actually starts at the waist and the front slit is quite high. I had great hopes based on the pictures, but unfortunately it is one of those bad asos apples.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
