1) Six reasons why women choose the wrong partners and stay in unhappy relationships. (The Everygirl)

2) This River Island wrap-belted sweater in Aztec print is perfect for any occasion.  Also, this $85 jacket with fringe detail is the perfect way to bring a trendy piece into your office wardrobe.

3) How one woman tripled her savings in three months.  Also, have a look at Digit, an app that helps you save. (Refinery 29)

4) I need a dress for a wedding in the late spring.  This Ted Baker floral print is sophisticated and bright.  I also like this very affordable Leith split back dress.

5) One woman is calling out sexist, hypocritical men who share their thoughts (and pics) too willingly on social media. (Distractify)

6) I’m intrigued by this Sephora Air Brush Blush, which comes in a spray can.  Has anyone tried it?

7) Barbie is no longer one size fits all.  Mattel redesigned the iconic doll in tall, petite, and curvy body types. (Time)

8) Need some new, cool earrings? These rose quartz Excelsior 360 studs are great.  These Caesar Ear Crawlers are delicate and pretty.

9) Things I Wish I Knew Before Getting Divorced. (PopSugar)

10) I love a cool sneaker.  This spotted, black-and-white Nike Internationalist shoe is worth a look.  Revolve also has a New Balance capsule collection that includes this fun dark purple shoe.

11) Do you need to learn how to procrastinate?  How one woman taught herself to put things off. (NYT)

12) Saks is offering up-to 75% off items in its last sale of the season.  If you are size 8, this Armani suit jacket is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  And I had to hide my debit card, so I didn’t buy this Altazurra sheath dress.

The Qapital app is also an excellent and easy way to save. Plus, it makes group saving (think concert tickets, trips, gifts, etc.) super easy.

The Armani Suit jacket link is linking to a gown instead. How will I know what to buy!?

No. 3 is great advice for people who haven’t scrutinized their finances. I love the idea of Digit, but I’m not sure how I feel about a third party having that level of access to my finances. There’s another similar app out there that rounds your transactions to the nearest dollar and puts the spare change in a savings account. I think Bank of America offers a program like that, too, but I’m not keen on banking with them, either. Hopefully the advent of products and programs like this will prompt banks to offer them as a value-add for customers. I’d definitely use it if my financial institution offered it.

No. 11 is definitely interesting. My success lies in being a bit of both, I think.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The Mondays: March 18, 2024

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
