Boosting Your Skin’s Radiance with Primer

Nov 17, 2015

Does your skin suffer from the winter blahs?  To give your skin’s brightness a boost, switch primers.

In the warmer months, I need to keep the oil at bay with NARS Pro Prime.  For the winter, I traded it in for Laura Mercier’s Radiance Primer.  It gives my skin a lit-from-within glow.  When I’m exhausted, my skin looks well-rested and hydrated.  Even after I apply powder.

To see the results, several beauty bloggers have before-and-afters to show you the brightening effects.  It’s a light radiance, but enough to make a difference.

Need a drugstore dupe?  The Interwebs recommend Revlon Skinlights in Peach or L’Oreal Magic Lumi.

I have the radiance primer from Laura but only used it for evening. Do you think it’s ok for office wear?

Primer is an absolute must for me – in all temperatures and seasons! In fact, I find that sometimes wearing primer alone is enough to help keep shine at bay, even if I don’t wear anything else.

After experimenting with a few samples from Sephora, I just purchased the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer, and it’s really helping my extremely dry skin look refreshed and dewy!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good nighttime moisturizer to use in the winter? Preferably under $30 please. Thanks!

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
