Welcome to the World, Baby Girl!

Meet Avery.  Also know as ‘Avie Baby’.  She is a black Miniature Schnauzer with one white foot.  She loves to be cuddled, plays fetch with a small tennis ball, loves people, and is very sweet.  She also sleeps seven hours a night with no problems (Yay!).

Products that I couldn’t live without: Fresh Patch, the Chilly Bone for teething puppies, and padded bolster crate bed.  Also, these adorable chipmunk toys.

    She is ADORABLE! Congrats Belle!

  2. Cheryl says:

What a picture! She looks great also against the classic stripe background. So glad for you, a great little companion. Have fun discovering her unique little personality. Again, congratulations!

  3. Jennifer D says:

Such a cutie! All puppies . . . all the time!

  4. Meg says:

Congrats! I rescued my puppy (well, now very large dog) 2 years ago and can honestly say, there is nothing like coming home from a long, hard day knowing that my pup will always be there, tail wagging and excited to see me. Plus she never judges, so matter what stupid thing/mistake I may have made at work. Nothing like unconditional love to make me happier. Enjoy your new love!

  5. MaryMary says:

Miniature schnauzers are my favorite! Congrats and enjoy.

  6. Kate says:

    She is so cute!

  7. Caroline says:

My partner and I have two Mini Schnauzers; they are the best dogs! I’m going home tomorrow after a 6-week work trip and can’t wait to be reunited with them. 🙂

  8. Liz says:

My dog LOVES his tree trunk and chipmunk toys. There are several variations including a bee hive with bees and several animals with hidden eggs inside. I love that you can get replacement eggs (my dog has a classic find and destroy mentality about squeaking toys). These toys have out lasted every other stuffed toy, and keeps him occupied and away from destroying other things.

  9. Lila says:

Adorable, but I hope you didn’t get her from a pet shop aka puppy mill…responsible low-volume breeders or rescues are the only humane way to get a puppy.

    • Belle says:

Low-volume breeder. I wanted to rescue, but I put my name on the list, and since I needed a hypoallergenic dog and wanted a girl, I hadn’t had any luck with the shelter.

  10. Cait says:

Congrats!! She’s adorable. I adopted a puppy earlier this year and by far, it is the best decision I made. Dogs really are the ultimate best friends.

I grew up with a mini Schnauzer- their personalities are so much fun (as I’m sure you know!). 🙂

  11. Rachel says:

Congrats! She’s adorbs. I got my pup when I was 26 (4 years ago, yikes) and it was the best decision ever 🙂

  12. Tech Writer says:

She is *beautiful*!! Congratulations. Can’t wait for all the puppy pix.

Another month has come and gone, and between a busy work schedule, illness and the search for new childcare, I almost forgot to ask for questions for the AMA.  Luckily, I remembered late last night.  So here we go. I always think it’s funny when people send rude or overly personal questions when I put […]

Gift Guide 2023: Stocking Stuffers, Pt. 1

I love stocking stuffers.  They are the best part of Christmas.  There’s just nothing quite like an affordable gift that’s funny or useful or chic (or maybe all three).  So here is Part One of my stocking stuffer gift guides, where nothing costs more than $30.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
