Hi Belle,
I love all the pale pinks in the stores right now. I’d like a blush skirt, maybe pencil or something fuller. I just can’t find anything that’s not a miniskirt. Have you seen anything in the $125 or less range?
I appreciate the help. -OD
Oh, blush, one of the best hues of the season. Part neutral, part color, all class.
If you like the color, but you’re struggling to style it, start with black. The contrast between stark and soft is a nice look. I also like it with ivory and pale grey.
As for blush-colored skirts, you’re right, there are not many to choose from. But I did find a few that you might like.
Antonio Melani Jeni Lace Skirt ($109)
I love the texture on this pencil skirt. It’s heavier than most of the lace you see; it also has a nice variety of patterns. I think it’s a very modern look.
Want something simpler? This $20 JCPenney skirt is worth a look. This Tahari skirt is another solid choice.
If you prefer a fuller skirt, this pleated midi-skirt from Wayf is lovely. I also like this a-line skirt from Shoptiques with a unique lace accent.
Plus-size? This sleek Tahari pencil skirt and this fuller, pleated skirt from Eloquii are both good choices. Petite? This a-line Vince Camuto skirt would look lovely with an ivory blouse and ivory cardigan.
Hi Belle,
I SO appreciate your thoughtful petite suggestions on the blog. However, even though the skirt you linked to is a petite SIZE, doesn’t mean it will be flattering on a petite figure. Petite women tend to look better with a pencil skirt rather than an A-Line cut. I appreciate also your suggestions of blogs to follow for petite-focused fashion, so I’m not coming here for that, more for general fashion/beauty stuff, but wanted to point it out for any of your petite readers!
I am ordering this great pale pink skirt from Talbots. It’s currently on sale for $62.99
