For the Office.  To avoid looking to matchy-matchy when you wear the same hue, incorporating different textures.  This look blends a simple cardigan with a lace tee for a bit of something extra.  If you prefer to mix in a different color, try this grape-colored cardigan from Halogen for a bit of contrast.

For Dinner. If you want to mix in color but aren’t a fan of pastels, I recommend blending in a jewel tone.  It’s a great way to wear fall colors like emerald, burgundy, and teal into the spring season.  This skirt is a bit pricey, but this ASOS skirt in green is much more affordable.  Plus-size? The purple clutch give you a contrasting color that pulls the look together.  I also love these basic sandals in a mid-heel height.  They’re the kind of versatile shoe that you can wear to all your spring/summer events.  These Forever21 sandals are an affordable alternative.
