Piperlime Doubles Down on Sale

Feb 23, 2015

Piperlime is scheduled to shut its doors by the end of March.  As a result, the retailer is engaged in a rolling sale.  Every few weeks, they pull more items into the sale section and double up on the discounts.  This week, it’s 30%-off sale, and 50%-off final sale items.

Also, there are some styles (like this one and this one), that I’m watching so I can snap them up when they go on sale.  This Piperlime shuttering is sad, but the designer deals offer some comfort.  Here are a few Belle-approved items that you can snap up today using code SALEONSALE, good until 2:59AM on 2/25.

RE: the Lucy Paris skirt – I ordered this from Bloomingdales and ended up returning. I loved the black/white pattern and full silhouette, but the sizing was whack.

I normally wear a size 2/4 and while I’m sure that vanity sizing is at play, a size medium in this skirt was still tight. If I’m a size large (which is the biggest size this skirt comes in), I shudder to think what a size 6-8+ would be. It’s ridiculous.

The other issue is that the combo of the length (not quite long enough even at 5’4″) and stiffness of the material made it look like I was going square dancing.

Just a warning since Piperlime is sure to be final sale.

Thanks for the heads up – I ordered the SM Roxanna Pumps, too bad I have to wait a couple of months before wearing!

The Range: Grey Jeans for Fall

Sometimes you have to see a piece of clothing in the wild to truly appreciate it, seeing it in the store just isn’t enough. Grey jeans, for example. On a shelf, not for me. At brunch, on a woman who looked relaxed and chic? Now, I need them.

2013 Outfit Restyle: Bring the Tweed

The theme of 2013 was more is more. Wearing a bracelet? Wear five. Add a belt. Add a necklace, maybe two . . . make it three. So when I look at outfits from a decade ago, my first instinct is always: do less.
