Gray Jeans are growing on me, and they give me a different alternative to wear with all my black tops.

I love my NYDJ (plus-size) jeans.

I think these NYDJ people are on to something. The clothes are mostly stylish, they sell in every size type, and they basically say “your bodies aren’t ‘perfect’, neither are ours, come join us.” I think this brand will grow.

  2. Nora says:

Madewell’s Skinny Skinny comes in a charcoal gray called “Boulder” that is PERFECT and also currently on sale (albeit for $5 off, but nonetheless that qualifies it for the regular “X% off sale items” promotions).

  3. LS says:

Would love a two ways on these! I have a pair but haven’t found them as versatile as I was hoping.

  4. abvv says:

I got a great pair of grey jeans from Lands’ End. They’re straight leg and have an internal muffin-top-smoother type panel that makes them really flattering. With some simple tailoring at the waist, they’re the perfect skinny jean for my pear shape. Did I mention they’re only $60?

Second the request for a two ways! I bought a pair on super sale at Loft last year and they have sat my drawer. Maybe its the color of the particular pair I have, but it seems like black shoes are too dark but brown is not right either. Gray flats maybe?

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Ask the Editor: Vol. IV, No. Eighteen

Before we start today’s reader questions, I wanted to take a moment to talk a bit about mental health. For those who experience mental health challenges — whether occasionally or frequently — talking about our struggles is a double-edged sword.
