Gift Guide: Hugo Guinness Catchall

Hugo Guinness Ceramic Catchall ($29)

Little dishes and catchalls are all the rage right now.  Ladies can use ceramic dishes like this one to organize jewelry, small trinkets, or their makeup.  For gentlemen, a leather catchall can be used to hold keys, pocket litter, or bedside essentials.

J.Crew has a nice selection of minimalist dishes, trays, and decorative storage boxes.  The “masterpiece” dish above is my favorite.  Anthropologie is another great place to find trinket dishes; I especially like this Polpo dish because it’s perfect for storing my many rings.  I also love this West Elm catchall with a Cupid-approved arrow design.  And don’t miss this affordable lidded dish from H&M with a gold honeycomb pattern.

Need something suitable for a gentleman?  Mark & Graham is a great place to start, as is Pottery Barn.  The Container Store also has some nice wood trays in whitewash or a rustic finish.

Love this suggestion – however, I would say to save your money and go to a flea market, antique store, or thrift store. I have gotten gorgeous pieces for $1-$5 at thrift stores.

I second the thrift store/flea market/antique store suggestion! You can find adorable plates, saucers, and dishes that are marked way down because they’re missing the rest of the set, but are still awesome pieces!

Personally, I like ice cream served in really little dishes. Not sure if these are food safe.
