Belle’s Closet: Tinley Road Knit Dress

Asymmetrical Wrap Knit Dress ($158)

Tinley Road has some nice pieces right now, but this knit dress immediately caught my eye.  I loved the marled color palette and the draped skirt.  I also like that I can wear it bare-legged now and with tights in a few weeks.  I also like it with a belt to re-emphasize the waist.  It’s the kind of versatile piece that you reach for when you have a closet full of nothing to wear.

Tinley Road also has this navy drape dress, which is a great option for dinners out or after work cocktails.  I also like this vegan leather dress in graphite if you’re looking for something more unique.  And if you’re looking for a cardigan to keep at your desk for chilly indoor conditions, this cocoon sweater in cotton-blend looks cozy.

  1. The heathered fabric of that dress is great! It looks super comfy too.

  2. Had never heard of Tinley Road until now..have to check them out..but not a huge fan of the ruching in this dress, gives an illusion of being pregnant on this model, when she probably isnt? Or it could be just me..

Hah, I had the same exact thought! I think it might just be a weird angle/bad photo shopping. Usually ruching is great for hiding stuff.

I’m confused by what appears to be the exact same dress by a different designer, Ivy + Blu:

    Am I crazy?

  4. BB says:

Ruching at the waist, will emphasize a tummy if you have one. Often we think that ruching will hide but it does the opposite and especially on this marled fabric.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
