Pinterest Mondays: Call for Submissions

When I started Pinterest Mondays, I thought that I would never run out of outfits to recreate.  Funny thing is that most of the outfits on Pinterest come springtime involve rompers, denim shorts or bandage minidresses…not really what I’m looking for.

I know that many of you have Pinterest accounts or have seen photos on the web of outfits you’d like to see translated into purchasable pieces.  So bring on the suggestions.  I would prefer more professional or business casual attire, but if you have a weekend look you’re just dying to try, post that too.  Leave the link in the comments, and don’t forget to follow Capitol Hill Style on Pinterest.

    Here’s a few ideas…

And, I forget if you have done this before – but what if you do a Pinterest series on wedding attire for summer – cocktail vs. black tie vs. beachy vs. country club etc. etc. Or for seasons?

And shoes for weddings on grass! I’m willing to just walk carefully for the ceremony and then dance the night away, the bride wants us to all wear the same (non-stiletto) shoes.

    This dress for a wedding:

The wedding is black tie & outside…so I am stuck on shoes & jewelry. The ceremony is in a church.

Is it in the summer? Because a black tie outdoor summer wedding sounds horrific and mean. I have an outdoor wedding on July 5, but it’s definitely not black tie. Actually black tie outside in any season seems a little ridiculous to me…

It is really hard to find dress outfits for work – we are not quite suits everyday but on the dressier side of business casual. I would love ideas

I’m interested in something like this:

Not the whole outfit (detest patent leather belts), but I would like to know how to incorporate something like a large brooch without looking old.

I love the Pinterest outfits…but so many can be so matchy-matchy. You’ve done a great job curating so far.

This one isn’t seasonal but OHMYGOD. Finding these things in the mortal price range would blow my mind.

    I also love this one.

  13. Jill says: love this site and how she mixed patterned top with a colored skirt that doesn’t have that exact color in it. How can you do this, outside of black, khaki and navy? Help with the belt as all my belts are skinny as I have a rounder rump. 🙂

Styling white denim for summer? Also pulling of conservative (finance) work looks without always falling back on a matched suit…particularly when it is hot!
