Sam Edelman Noah Flat ($99)

Since Steve Madden discontinued my favorite gold flats three years ago, I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement pair.  It’s become a Grail Quest, actually.  But a few weeks ago, I spotted this pair on Amazon and decided to give them a try.

They are, in a word, sublime.

The metallic finish is shiny, but not blinding.  The shape is simple enough to be dressed up or down.  And the rubber sole makes them fairly comfortable (though this weather has limited the walking I’ve been doing, they did make it a couple of miles this weekend).

They do run a little big, so if you’re between sizes, take the smaller size.

Finally…why oh why did Steve Madden stop making that big seller? My feet miss them in four different finishes. But, these look like they just might fit the bill. Thanks Belle! The wait is over.

Belle, just curious — what are your favorite outfits for your gold flats?

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
