Lump of Coal ($4.50)

Several years ago, my Brother gave me a lump of coal for Christmas.  It was shellacked and had an image of Santa painted on it.  We all had a good laugh when I opened it, and it’s still sitting on the bedside table in my room.

Coal is an amusing gift for anyone who didn’t quite make the Nice List this year.  If you don’t have time to order this faux-coal, you can always wrap a charcoal briquet in ribbon and call it a day.

Another fun way to give coal is to get chocolate chunks wrapped to look like coal. It gets the naughty message across, but is a bit sweeter than the real thing (if you’ll pardon the pun). They’re available on Amazon, but I’ve also seen them at Target and other stores. https://www.amazon.com/Candy-Crate-Santas-Chocolate-Coal/dp/B000ZH8Y6U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387658156&sr=8-1&keywords=chocolate+lump+of+coal

Ha! I remember when I was a kid, one of my cousins had been really bad and all he got for Christmas was coal. Actual coal. Nothing else. Let me tell you that we were all super nice the following year.

My mom used to always put a tiny piece of charcoal briquet in the toe of my filled-to-the-brim christmas stocking to remind me that we can all be a litttttle nicer throughout the year

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
