1. Henri Bendel Leopard-Print Scarf ($178) // 2. Ombre Dust Dress ($148) // 3. Spring Street Cuff ($24) // 4. Zara Studio Top ($99) // 5. Boden Blackfriar Jacket ($104) // 6. Kenzie Exotic Print Pumps ($138) // 7. Intermix Colorblock Mesh Dress ($49) // 8. Fab Black on White Clutch ($57)

One. The print on this scarf is perfection.  I love the soft and subtle neutrals.  It’s cashmere and a bit pricey, but if you wear scarves often this would be a great addition to your collection.  If you need something under-$50, I found a similar printed scarf for $23.

Two. French Connection has some of the best dresses right now.  I love this printed ombre dress for dates and parties.  This burgundy pleated dress and this Flora combo dress also caught my eye.

Three.  I’m having a bit of a love affair with stretch cuffs right now.  Probably because they’re one of the few bracelet styles that fit my tiny wrists.  This one, from Spring Street, has a great texture to it to go along with the rich ebony color.  I also bought this Monet Tri-Tone Bracelet to help mix my silver and gold pieces, and this $10 Mineral-Effect bracelet to layer with other pieces.

Four. I have been staring at this grey Theory blouse for weeks, but I just cannot bring myself to pay that much for a shirt.  Luckily, this Zara blouse has a similar shape and a shirttail hem to conceal a rear view that will be adversely impacted by the shocking amount of pie that I intend to consume this month.

If you are also a fan of the shirttail hem, check out my new favorite t-shirt brand Demy Lee and this $58 Pleione blouse from Nordstrom, which comes in every color imaginable.  Plus-size?  Try this pleated blouse from INC.

Five. How great is this blazer?  It’s on trend with a mix of navy and black trim.  And for $104?  Yes, please!  It also comes in black-on-black.

Can’t get enough of navy and black together?  The Rebecca Taylor tweed jacket from a few weeks ago is finally on sale (as is this awesome RT dress).  I also looked at this Zara black and navy overcoat this weekend, and it is awesome in person, as is this short Guess jacket with leather accents.  And who could forget this sublime DvF chiffon blouse.

Six. Ann Taylor is making some of the most comfortable heels on the market right now.  And at 30-percent-off, these metallic embossed heels are a must have for holiday parties and, depending on your office, work.  I also love these Cody over-the-knee boots.  And I would be remised if I didn’t mention these sweet lace pumps for an understated, but festive party look.

Seven.  The Intermix in-house line has the.best.deals on stylish, modern party dresses.  $49?  That’s less than the bar tab and the cab ride home from the party.  I’m also in love with this black and green dress with cap sleeves, and do not miss this wine-colored peplum top to wear with pencil skirts and tuxedo pants.  Both pieces are under-$60.

Eight. I just put this up here because I like it.  It’s canvas, so it’s not terribly practical for evening, though you could certainly use it for that.  No, I’m thinking it’s the perfect thing to store all of my phone/laptop/iPad cords and adapters in when I travel.

I love the mesh cut out dress, but unfortunately the intermix links don’t seem to be working. Have you seen anything similar from a different brand?

This is a slightly off-topic question in terms of your post, but what program(s) do you use to create the above image? Your media content is always beautifully presented and I’d love to know your secret! Thank you in advance.

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
