One. Mixed metal bracelets make a chic statement when worn alone or with other jewelry. I like these bracelets from Stella & Dot are substantial but contained, unlike some bracelets that look like a jewelry box exploded. If you’d like to find this look for less, try these Lucky stack bangles and these Lady Links chain bracelets.
Two. For a different take on animal print, Marc Jacobs designed a sweater that mixed colors not found in nature. The mix of bronze, black and blue is lovely. Want a sweater in a more neutral color palette? Try this Generation Love sweater in black and white, and this grey Gap sweater with a hint of metallic.
Three. This flap satchel would glam up a daytime outfit or pair with evening attire. And should you need something under-$75, give this Calvin Klein flap clutch with chain strap and gold accents.
Four. We all know that I love silky blouses for the office and the weekend. This Iris & Ink blouse is well-made, not-too-sheer and a great length for tucking into skirts and trousers. Need a more affordable option? This Antonio Melano Spill Neck Blouse should do the trick.
Plus-size? Check out this Pendleton Double Drape blouse. Petite? Try this J.Jill Easy Pullover blouse.
Five. This silk cargo-tunic dress comes in several lovely colors (including an awesome shade of berry), and it could be worn with tights and boots now or with flats in the spring. Just add a belt for structure, and layer on sweaters and blazers.
Six. The shoes at Zara are the best. These heels are my favorite of the moment. These wedge ankle boots are also pretty fantastic, as are these burgundy patent high heel t-straps.
Seven. Leather accents are a sophisticated way to add a bit of edge to your professional wardrobe. This skirt is gorgeous, but out of the price range, so have a look at this Michael Kors ponte and leather skirt or this Nine West crepe and leather skirt. Plus-size? Check out this Anne Klein faux-leather trim skirt.
Eight. Deborah Lippmann has some gorgeous colors for fall. This sparkly navy is incredible, but don’t miss this rich purple shade called Harem Silk Bombay and this emerald-green called Laughin to the Bank.
I love the look of purses with chain strap and gold accents, but always stay away from them for fear of it looking like a Chanel knockoff. Thoughts?
I don’t think of Chanel unless it includes all of the above PLUS quilting 🙂
That’s a good point, thanks!
