1. Day Birger et Mikkelsen Metallic Jacquard Skirt ($170) // 2. Madison Ocelot Scar ($128) // 3. AllSaints Lara Dress ($260) // 4. Target Crossbody Handbag ($27) // 5. Echo Long Basic Glove ($48) // 6. Zara Wool Cape ($179) // 7. SoleSociety Geo Stone Bracelet ($30) // 8. Reptile Jacquard Top ($198)

One. If you’re looking for a pencil skirt that is anything but ordinary, look no further.  The jacquard, the zippers, the hints of metallic…love.it.  However, if you’re looking for the texture without the zip-ups, try this belted Tahari pencil skirt from Lord & Taylor.  Plus-size?  Try this Coldwater Creek jacquard pencil skirt.

Two. I love leopard print, but it’s not for everyone.  If you want the look of animal print but you prefer a whisper, not a scream, this monochromatic ocelot-print scarf is lovely.  Need something under-$50?  Try this white leopard print from Mango.

Three.  How phenomenal is the cut of this dress?  The draping of the skirt and the asymmetric neckline are both fantastic.  If you want the same look with long sleeves, try this Nicole Miller Ruched Ponte dress or this under-$100 Ro & De Twist Front dress (seriously, this one is worth a look).

Four.  Last week, I showed you the Banana Republic dalmatian calf-hair crossbody that I recently added to my wardrobe.  But if you only want to spend $25, this burgundy calf hair bag from Target is the one you want.  Super chic.

Five. Ever since the 2012 inaugural, gloves have been back on the fashion radar.  These Echo gloves are pretty fantastic.  If you’d like your gloves a bit shorter, try these Saks Collection leather gloves and these under-$75 Stitch Detail Leather Gloves from Need Supply.

Six. I ordered this cape from Zara and it is fantastic.  It’s a beautiful grey herringbone fabric with chocolate-brown trim.  I would unbutton the sides, and then belt the front half of the cape, leaving the back have to hang free.  Need something less-expensive?  Try this under-$100 LAmade Poncho Sweater.

Seven.  These bangles have a cool hexagonal shape and just the right amount of color.  They’re the perfect layering piece.  Sole Society has some nice pieces right now.  I especially like this wide band ring.

Eight.  This reptile print top is fantastic.  The tonal print is a great way to incorporate texture into your look.  Joie makes this short-sleeve top in a similar print, and Old Navy has a very inexpensive top in snakeskin print.
