Dear Belle,
I’m hoping you can help me find a gift for my bridesmaids. I’m looking for jewelry that I can personalize with their names–it’s a family tradition–but I want something classic and simple. My sister gave her maids those tacky “Carrie” necklaces from SATC and no one wears them.
I love your style and am hoping you can track down something that my friends will actually want to wear.
Sincerely, Searching for Something Classy
If you’re looking for personalized jewelry, the best place on the Internet to shop is Baublebar. I adore this simple bangle, and this delicate initial necklace is simple and chic. I also love this simple bar necklace. And if you wanted to do something a bit different, you could buy them a pendant with the silhouette of their home state on it.
Need something cheaper? Etsy has a lot of lovely choices. I like this plate necklace and this ornate monogram bracelet. But my favorite isthis nameplate bracelet with name and date, you could do their birthdays or your wedding date.

These are really cute ideas–particularly the personalized bangle. Love that!

Protip: don’t give someone other than your spouse a gift with your wedding date on it.

Agree totally.

Also agreed.

I normally agree, but parents/in-laws love picture frames with a wedding picture and the wedding date engraved on the frame. Aside from your spouse, I think only parents like these kinds of things.

100% agree + parents/parents in law. Why would someone else care about your wedding date?

If you aren’t “married” to the idea of including whole names, there are tons of Etsy sellers who do pendants with an initial stamped on a tiny disc. A little more subtle but still pretty.

I wear my monogram necklace all the time and get compliments on it constantly because it’s smaller than the usual monogram necklaces. I liked that it was enclosed in a circle, too. Here’s the designer: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PersonalizeMeJewelry?ref=seller_info. It’s at a nice print point as well, just under $50. I got a 20″ chain to wear it with pretty much every neckline.

if you’re going to spend $129 on a bangle from Bauble bar, you might as well just buy something from Tiffanys for the same price

Another tip- if your bridesmaids are also engaged or soon to be, you may want to to with just a first initial instead of a full monogram.

My sister made us charm bracelets with charms selected based on our interests and personalities.
