From the moment that I saw the trailer, I was obsessed with the documentary “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s.” Â A chronicle of the most stylish store in New York, perhaps the world, the documentary gives you a peek into the inner workings of the Fifth Ave. department store as told by the designers, employees and customers who adore it.
There is an advanced screening of the film happening at AMC Mazza Gallerie at 7:00PM on May 14th. Â The promoters of the film were kind enough to give me five pairs of tickets to giveaway.
To enter for your chance to win, leave the name of your favorite Bergdorf’s designer in the comments. Â From Akris to Zac Posen, it might be difficult to pick just one.
Entries will close and the winners will be announced on Saturday.
Chloe!
No question — Dior
Kate Spade
Marni.
Elie Saab!!
I’m going to have to go with Jason Wu. Clean, flirty, and simple, I must have bought a dozen of his items when he had his partnership with Target (I could actually afford him!).
Another vote for Jason Wu!!
Alice + Olivia
Fendi. The most gorgeous blouse I own was made by Fendi for Bergdorf Goodman.
Zac Posen
McQueen! Even though McQueen can be so impractical for everyday life…
Alexander McQueen
It’s my aspirational favorite, but it’s Marchesa.
J. Mendel
Proenza Schouler
Alexandre Birman, mostly because I got to meet him. He’s a shoe designer and sexy. What’s not to love?
Naeem Khan!
Marc Jacobs
Christian Louboutin, because they make the most beautiful shoes known to man
Tom Ford
Derek Lam!
Christian Louboutin – just not on DC’s streets.
J. Mendel
Vera Wang forever!
Carolina Herrera
Alice and Olivia
Caroline Herrera – I have one of her full skirts and it has been my “go to” for parties. Easy to pair with a white button down skirt or a lovely camisole for different looks and events.
Louboutin
Alexander McQueen and Carven. Sadly, I can’t afford either one.
From one Lebanese to another- Elie Saab
Joie – a designer I recently found that I adore!
Marchesa!
This list was brimming with wonderful choices. At the risk of repetitiveness, I’ll also go with Carolina Herrera, though not for the reasons noted above. Carolina is often not considered by American professional women, presumably because of the flirtatiousness in some of her designs and their relative incompatibility with Washington. Take a closer look, however, and you’ll realize this isn’t so. She is simple, classy, elegant – and a bit of a flirt. She also has wonderful biannual sales in Spain, if you can manage the time off. 🙂
McQueen, although I just bought my favorite perfume ever there last week, and it’s Balenciaga.
Ralph Lauren
Elie Saab
Naeem Khan- gorgeous gowns I wish that I had the $$ to buy and the places to go in them!
Alexander McQueen!
DVF. Always & Forever.
I’ve thought about this…I would wear Ralph Lauren for the rest of my life. Head to toe. Any occasion. Bergdorf has it.
Christian Louboutin. The things I would actually do to own a pair…it’s shameful.
Karl Lagerfield. He inspired me to be the diva bitch that I am today.
Damn I meant “Lagerfeld.” Forgive me.
Oscar de la Renta. *sigh*
marni
Michael Kors – classic and beautiful!
Carolina Herrera !!! I love her classic femininity!
Diane von Furstenberg
Ooh! I also want to see this. How about… Carolina Herrera (but not in a boring Renee Zellweger way, ha). Hers is always one of my favorite shows to look forward to.
Jason Wu, but I am oddly attracted to over-the-top girly dresses from Oscar de le Renta and Carolina Herrera.
Narcisco Rodriguez
Oscar de la Renta
For every day: Marc Jacobs. For glamourous events in my dreams: Catherine Malandrino.
Dior, always and forever.
Valentino can do no wrong!
xo
@breaellis
WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!
For gowns, it’s hands down Elie Saab. Overall favorite: Alice + Olivia
Diane von Furstenberg
I would wear every single Carolina Herrera dress that Bergdorf’s sells. Also, OdlR can do no wrong.
Chloe!!! 🙂
Elie Saab forever and always! Alice + Olivia too.
Marchesa for me!
Balenciaga, at least in my dreams. or Carolina Hererra!
Chloe!
Chanel
Manolo Blahnik. I pine for a pair and am almost certain they will be my first big purchase of adulthood.
Oscar de la Renta 🙂
Dolce and Gabana
Elie Saab!
Brian Atwood
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG!
Although I totally agree with the comments about wearing Ralph Lauren from head to toe until I die– for the blog alone I am going to have to go with kate spade new york.
Tory Burch
Dolce & Gabbana…I just LOVE them this season
Kate Spade
Nancy Gonzales
DvF!
Oscar de la Renta
Milly ! Although you can buy it at many other boutiques, the pieces from Milly that Bergdorf’s orders are always super special.
Dior…sigh
Such a hard choice but I think I have to go with a classic – Ralph Lauren. Also one of my best friends was the production assistant on this movie and met everyone in it! I can’t wait to see it.
Chloe for day!
DvF.
Michael Kors forever
Dior
Marchesa
Diane von Furstenberg
Monique Lhuillier stirs my soul!
Can I go with Kate Spade? Simple and happy 🙂
Jason Wu- classic, but with enough of-the-moment accents.
I have to go with Monique Lhuillier. My God, that woman cuts a beautiful and flattering dress!
Chloe for my fantasy life, Rag and Bone for the splurges in my real life!
DvF!
Ellie Saab!
Manolo Blahnik — some day I’ll make enough money to actually own a pair
Oscar de la Renta!
Jason Wu!
Oscar de la Renta. Absolutely timeless, need I say more…
Monique Lhuillier, obvs.
Michael Kors – sharp, everyday wear
