10th Commandment: February 22

Feb 22, 2013

I’m off to sunny Florida for my first ever beach trip.  And before departing, I tried on last year’s white jeans.  Talk about a demoralizing experience.  I had fewer body image issues when I was 14-years-old than I did in that moment.  Time for a new pair.

Belle, where are you headed to in Florida

  2. Margaret says:

Belle, thanks for posting universally flattering flared jeans. I’m anxiously waiting for the skinny jean trend to go away. Have a wonderful beach trip!

    • CynthiaW says:

I’m just pretending that skinny jeans have already gone away. I’ve been quite successful at ignoring them thus far and see no reason to stop now.

    • Jenna says:

We’ve all invested too much in boots for skinny jeans to go away anytime soon.

      • Cynthia W says:

Ha – if I want to shoe off the shaft of my boots, I can wear them with dresses and skirts.

But, I was thinking about getting a pair of slim cut jeans, just for my cowboy boots. Sigh.

  3. Terri says:

Skinny jeans!!!!! The mainstain of europe for both guys and gals…YUCK! Only ten percent of the population over the age of 14 looks good in them. Yet we all own a pair and keep trying! Cannot wait for this trend to be put to bed.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
