Happy Hour: Cranberry Clementine Cocktail

Feb 15, 2013

I love citrus fruit, especially clementines.  We’re coming to the end of clementine season, so I thought I would feature a cocktail that uses this delicious fruit.

This Cranberry Clementine Cocktail from Two Tarts uses vodka and fresh juices to create a refreshing and tangy cocktail.  Plus, it only has three ingredients, so it’s an inexpensive and easy libation for home consumption.

And what to wear with this seasonal cocktail…

DvF Bentley Dress ($285)

I adore this easy ruched jersey dress for dinner dates, cocktail hour or after-work events.  I also like this short sleeve DvF dress, and this BCBG dress with ladylike pleats.

If you prefer the color of cranberries to the color of clementines, try this Tracy Reese dress or this one shoulder knit dress for $50.

Plus size?  I found these fun spring dresses in orange and cranberry.

Happy Hour

    Belle,
I am loving the clementine for spring! What do you think of this cool hat from Anthropologie with a fun splash of clementine? I think it would be a fabulous pool-side accessory!

WFH Outfit: Denim and Black

Does anyone really know how to dress for a rainy February? It’s not winter. It’s not spring. Sweaters seem heavy. Just a shirt feels like you’ll be cold. It’s a puzzle.

The Range: Best Picks from Ann Taylor

One of the questions that is often asked about D.C. fashion is: Why is there so much Ann Taylor? The answer is simple enough — the hemlines are long enough, the styles are easy to wear, almost everything is machine washable, and it’s easy to find pieces for professional offices or casual ones. Plus, there’s […]

The Range: Trouser Jeans

Yesterday, we chatted about not-see-through tees. Today, I want to talk about jeans. I am so grateful wide leg denim is back in a big way. And if you’re going to the office, you need a trouser style jean to see you through the week (or just casual Friday). Here are some favorites in different […]
