Happy Hour: Easy All Occasion Punch

Feb 8, 2013

I love to serve champagne.  Probably because I love to drink champagne.  But sometimes, a girl needs something extra in her bubbly.  So when I saw a pin for “Easy All-Occasion Champagne Punch,” I was delightfully intrigued.

photo c/o Cocktail Remedy

The crew at Cocktail Remedy created this simple punch from the three Gs: ginger ale, gin and ginger syrup.  I, of course, replace the gin with vodka. Such is the joy of food allergies.  But add a bit of lime to my vodka remake and you have basically have a Moscow Mule + Champagne, and you have combined my two favorite libations in one.

If you like to make cocktails at home, I would definitely spend a bit of time on Cocktail Remedy.  The recipes aren’t overly fussy, and the ones of made are really good.  Sweet Cherry Whiskey Sodas?  Yes, please.

And since this punch is “all occasion,” how about…

Vince Camuto Signature Niles Heels ($80)

A shoe that will work with most cocktail dresses and for most evening occasions?  You could wear them with any color dress to a spring or summer wedding. (I like them with this pretty pink floral lace or this bold red strapless.)  You could wear these shoes with a flowy chiffon skirt on a dinner date. If you like to wear jeans when you go out, you could wear them with skinnies or trouser denim.

If you like the straps, but prefer a softer gold, try these Trump sandals.  If you need something more substantial, these D’orsay pumps are a good choice.  You can go all in with a high-high-heel, or you can keep it casual in a gold glitter flat.

And if you’re going to wear sandals, don’t forget the pedicure.  How about a poppin’ peony shade or a shiny raspberry?  Or you can kick it with a classic red.  Ladies’ choice.

Have a safe and happy weekend!

xoxo, Belle

I can imagine why you don't want to liveblog the Grammys, but I miss your commentary, Belle!

A lady's shoes should always match her drink. Delicious.

I have to ask — what's the name of the raspberry nail polish shade that you mentioned? The link that you provided linked to “Where's My Chauffer” instead of a raspberry shade.

  4. Belle says:

    MS: Essie Sure Shot

I made the punch for a party this weekend (with vodka instead of gin) and it was a hit! Thanks Belle!
