  1. For 600 bucks, you could set aside 200-ish and use the other 400 to buy part of a plane ticket to either Scotland or Ireland and get a real cable knit sweater.

    Alternatively, you can purchase an Aran knit sweater from one of the many Irish woolen mills with online shops. The machine knit ones are less than $100. I bought quite a few when I was in Ireland last year as souvenirs for myself and family members; now they're trendy. 🙂
