10th Commandment: September 14

Sep 14, 2012

When I was traveling over the recess, I saw a woman wearing these with slim-cut jeans, a white blazer and white tank.  The look was casual but chic.  The only issue is that these shoes look best on women with small feet.  If you have larger feet, you can still wear them, but you need a bootcut or trouser pant with them or else you’re all feet.

I just replaced my go-to Friday black loafer with a very similar black flat. Even at a size 8, it instantly made my feet look smaller – even noted by someone in the office. Tapering at the toe helps the impression of smaller feet.

What are your thoughts on wearing white past Labor Day? I recently tucked away my white pants and white dresses (sadly) for next year, but if you think times have changed I'd be so glad to be able to wear white beyond the rule.

,,,wish I were an “elected official” I would purchase the manolos,,,

  4. EmZ says:

I recently got these at Target – look just like the “Paid Intern” version, pretty comfortable, and only $20!
