Giveaway Winners, Who Won Belle's Nail Polish?

May 4, 2012

The time has come to announce the winners of the Zoya/Birchboz Nail Polish giveaway ft. Belle, designed by yours truly.

Let’s start with the Facebook winner:

Rebecca Jablonski-Diehl

Figuring out the Twitter winner was a bit of a chore. I had to spend time individually tallying each entry by looking at my “mentions” on Twitter.  After making a list and checking it twice, I came up with 78 entries.

That tweet belonged to @SamSuttle.

And last, but not least, let’s draw the blog winner.  This was a weird one, because when I posted the Last Call for entries, it also drew comments.  I could have ignored those because the post clearly said to leave your comment on the original post, but why?  This is a fashion blog, why not include them?

The total from the first post (194) plus the second post (46) is 240 entries.

The 84th Commenter was AnnS, and her favorite warm weather activity is:

“My favorite summer activities include fishing on the Chesapeake Bay with my husband and relaxing on the front porch of my grandma’s beach house with a tall glass of something cold.”

Thank you to everyone who entered and congratulation to our winners!  If you still want to get your own bottle of “Belle,”  the Zoya Blogger Collection by Birchbox costs ($22).

Get them quick, because once they’re sold out, they’re gone forever.  And, word of warning, my Mother has already bought something like 25 bottles.  So they’re going fast.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

Three Outfits I’ll Wear All Spring

When I started this blog, influencers still re-wore clothes. There were no haul videos filled with the latest from Shein before it winds up in a beach in Ghana poisoning the planet. There were no sponsored campaigns delivering fresh wardrobes each month. The content machine doesn’t like reruns.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
