Can you wear t-shirts to work?  Even in a conservative work environment?  It depends on how you wear them and when you wear them.  If you style it correctly, you should be able to wear it on casual Friday or in a more casual work environment and still be offie appropriate.

    I'm wearing a tshirt to work today – but 1. it's a nicer, “dressy” tshirt and 2. I'm an elementary school teacher and 3. I still wouldn't wear it on a Mass day. On Wednesdays, we have spirit day and can wear more casual tshirts with jeans – I'm still not really sure that I approve of being that casual at work, even after all this time.
