Those are so cute! I agree – i go with metallic for any evening events and it lets me get away with only having one real pair of evening shoes. Just wanted to give a quick thanks to Belle for the recommendation on the Commando tights – after some hunting (Nordstrom at Pentagon City was sold out – i”m assuming the Belle effect??) I got a pair and have to say they are great! So comfortable and the no waistband thing is great – can't believe no one thought of it sooner!

  2. T says:

I've been experiencing the “Belle Effect” on several posted items. And I guess that is a good thing, that means things in DC are on the up-trend. Great shoes for a great price Belle.

  3. Helena says:

Guess I'd better run out and get these now to avoid “Belle Effect.” Love this suggestion!!

  4. S says:

I managed to find the Commando tights on amazon.. haven't been blown away by them though. They don't pinch at all, but then they tend to sag which is annoying.

  5. Belle says:

    Sagging? That's a new one.

  6. S says:

Yeah, I'm wondering if I'm between sizes.. these just don't stay up.

  7. Kate says:

I don't know whether to bless you or curse you . . . I just purchased these!
    AND, I found a $20 coupon. yay!

  8. Emily Kate says:

I love sequins!! Going to check out the WHBM ones now!

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
