2011 Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers for Her

Dec 6, 2011

NARS Cheek Color Palette ($65).  This palette is to.die.for in person.  No matter your skin tone, you will find at least three shades that suit you.  You can even mix and match the shades to create even more gorgeous colors.

Lanvin Small Notebook ($20).  Designer duds don’t come cheap, Lanvin especially, but you can own a little piece of the Parisian fashion label for a pittance.  This stylish little notebook is perfect for taking notes at work, keeping a diary or just sitting on the coffee table looking pretty.

Bliss Spa Gift Certificate. Most women are shy about pampering themselves.  But a massage here, a pedicure there and your recipient will feel like a new woman.  Some people think gift cards are impersonal, but when they’re from somewhere truly indulgent (like a glamorous spa), they make great stocking stuffers.

J.Crew Hand-Enameled Bracelet ($35).  From basic black to bold cobalt, this bracelet comes in seven stunning colors.  Because they’re wide, they can be worn alone or layered with other bracelets.  The hardest decision you’ll have to make is which color she’ll love most.

Fresh Sugar Plum Lip Balm ($23).  This product is incredible.  It looks really dark in the photo, but it goes on with a sheer berry tint that gives you just the right amount of oomph.  It also has a lovely, soft scent that’s perfect for kissing under the mistletoe.

Echo Design Basic Touch Gloves ($32).  Does the woman in your life have a touch screen smartphone or music player?  Then, she needs these gloves.  The tips of the pointer finger and thumb are coated with a substance that allows you to operate your smart devices while staving off frostbite.  Happy Texting!

Fran’s Salted Caramels ($28).  Being a bit of a chocoholic, I’ve tasted a few salted caramels in my life.  Fran’s are by far the best.  They’re the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and so creamy that they melt on the tongue.  Accept no substitutes.

I discovered fran's salted caramels a few years ago and can attest to their awesomeness. I love the grey salt over the smoked, but really….they are both incredible. I've never been one to savor sweets, preferring to happily munch myself into oblivion, but I've made the 6 packs of Fran's salted caramels last for gasp-inducing amounts of time.

    Get them, they are heavenly!!

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
