With the holiday parties in full swing and more still to come, a new dress, blouse or clutch can put a girl in the spirit of the season. This week, we’re doing something a bit different, the morning post will feature one item, under-$175 that will be perfect for this season’s fete circuit.

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
Sadly, it is not available to purchase until January. It would make a great Valentines Day dress.
Oh my gosh. I didn't even notice that. This, ladies, is what happens when you drink and blog.

I love this dress! maturity and age appropriate be damned…it's so darling, I would wear it myself. Worth the January wait. I will have to check if it can be pre-ordered.
