I LOVE Splendid so much but always have a hard time making it seem “work appropriate”, as it's really pretty casual stuff…can't wait to see what you do with this dress, would love to be able to have some of my splendid stuff do double duty!
To make this work appropriate: I would wear grey tights and booties?/boots. I'd add a navy blazer, probably a wool, schoolboy style, some bracelets and maybe a belt.
Maybe I am in the dark about this one, but now that it's fall and I have started wearing tights, I need to know what the proper foundational garments are for wearing an unlined dress such as this. What do you wear underneath the dress that doesn't look like it came out of your grandmother's drawer so that it does not rub against your tights and migrate up the front of your legs when you are walking? I've noticed other women in this city have the same problem. It looks like static cling…but it's just tights cling.

I'm loving this dress and can totally see it as work appropriate. Thanks for a great find.
