First off, this gown far exceeds the usual Happy Hour prices. Secondly, it’s totally worth it.
Chloe Sequined Georgette Gown (Net-a-Porter, $10,130)
This gorgeous chocolate brown is simply dripping with sequins. It would be perfect for a Fall event. I also love that they styled it with modern accessories, a leather clutch and a bold ring.
The Tennessee Cherry Cocktail is an Autumn and Winter staple at my dinner parties. Sometimes, I serve it with a coconut ice cream or cream gelato from Dolcezza and save myself the trouble of making dessert. It makes everyone happy.
Tennessee Cherry Cocktail Recipe
Six fresh or frozen pitted dark cherries
1.5 Cups Jim Beam Red Stag, cherry-infused whiskey
One Teaspoon Cocoa Powder, I like unsweetened
.5 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract, good quality, not McCormick from the spice aisle
In a 10- to 12-ounce old fashioned glass, muddle cherries, whiskey, syrup, and vanilla with a fork. Add ice.
Serves one.
This is not a recipe to be made in large batches. It’s best to just line up the glasses and make them individually. Sometimes multiplication just isn’t your cocktail’s friend.
Anything Tennessee is good with me. There are some marginally good honey-infused whisky options too, although you can't go wrong with some “Fireball” whisky. Or can you? I can't remember.
1.5 CUPS of whiskey? That is 12 ounces or approximately 6 shots.
did you mean 1.5 jiggers? That would still be pretty strong. The combination does sound yummy though.
That dress? In the words of Rachel Zoe, “I die! I die!”
“That dress is BA-NANAS.”
$10K is totally worth it?? That's the cost of a small car. I'm glad to fantasize though.
k-t- I use jiggers. The official recipe says cups.
BB-I think if you had the 10k to spend easily, this dress would be worth it. The rest of us just get to stare
