In the Clutch

Aug 31, 2011

Everyone needs one basic clutch, so why do some women have five or ten?  Once you have a basic black, branch out!  Because an interesting clutch can lift anything from a little black dress to a glorious evening gown.

Here are a few minaudieres and envelope clutches that are a bit more interesting than the basic black clutch.  Snore.

Want to build a handbag wardrobe without spending a fortune?  Raid Grandma’s closet or hit up the thrift store.  Clutches don’t need to be durable because they’re just for occasional use.  So if you find one that you love the look of, but it isn’t well made, don’t fret.  Buy it, and be gentle with it.

Hear hear. I love clutches and my collection has designated space in my closet! Another good place to start off is in Nordstrom Junior's department. Trendier stuff but good price point and fun colors.

I have a wedding to go to next weekend and have been looking for cute clutches – thanks! I love that starburst shell clutch! But of course it would be the most expensive one, ugh. I either need less expensive taste or a giant wardrobe/accessories budget. Hint: I'll most likely have to settle for the former!
