Happy Hour: A Canned Post

Aug 5, 2011

This Happy Hour is going to be a rather short one.  See, I have to venture to the wilds of Virginia tomorrow for work, and that means I need my beauty rest.  Just because you’re catching the Metro before sun up is no excuse to look haggard.

Luckily, once I’m done bridge and tunneling it out in the burbs, I will be joining Miss M for a lovely dinner at Graffiato in Chinatown.  There, we will dine on Italian food and drink champagne from little cans.  That’s right, pink champagne in a can.  I’m kind of obsessed with the idea.

I hate to break it to you, Belle, but if you in the part of Virginia that's Metro-accessible, you haven't gotten to the wilds yet. 😀

Hope you have a good trip!

  2. Virginia says:

I drank these cute cans of champagne as I was getting ready for my wedding with my bridesmaids. Unforutnately, they look better than they taste. Enjoy your time in the VA!

  3. What did you think of Graffiato? It's right near my office and I've been wanting to try it.

  4. tiaracara says:

LOVE these little adult “juice boxes”- but have to agree… their value lies solely in their cuteness and their pinkness, OH and they have bendy straw, pink ones…. But they are not very delicious. Even so… its champagne- and champagne is like sex and pizza- even when its bad… its still pretty good! 🙂

  5. curious choice says:

A post announcing your exact whereabouts after posting safety tips for women?

  6. Belle says:

I didn't post what time I would be there. And since I'm anonymous it's a bit tougher to figure out. It isn't like I checked in on foursquare or something.

  7. amy b.s. says:

we have friends who had their wedding cocktail hour out on the lawn of the hotel the reception was at and all they served was sofia in the cans. it was so cute.

  8. Sigh says:

Sigh … another blogger who doesn't know the difference between “your” and “you're” or is just too lazy to notice when they make the mistake?

  9. Belle says:

Yes, I am too lazy to notice. It's nice to be understood by my readers.
