BPGP: Glycolic Face Wash

Jul 5, 2011

Acne is no picnic.  Neither is the ruddy, humidity affected skin of August.  The cure?  Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Face Wash ($15).

For moderate acne sufferers or people looking for a better washing in the heat and humidity, use this face wash every other day.  It’s cleansing without being too drying, and it doesn’t have any heavy perfumes or dyes.

I started using this product every other day a few months back.  I wasn’t expecting match, since I’ve been let down before, but it’s really helped the acne on my cheeks.  And if you have body acne or you get acne from shaving, this is the product for you.

A word of warning, however, do not mix this face wash with any retinoids or acne creams until you ask your doctor.  I used it before I applied my EpiDuo and caused an allergic reaction that had me swollen up the size of the Hindenburg.  I was out of work for two days.  Brutal.

So if you’re looking for a face wash that packs a big punch against oiliness, acne, and enlarged pores, give this cleanser a once over.

I haven't tried this, but the Mario Badescu drying lotion is amazing for reducing/vanishing pimples.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
