Of Another Fashion

I know that I’ve mentioned Of Another Fashion once before, but I think it deserves a second look.

The blog is an archive of vintage photography dedicated to “the not-quite-hidden but too often ignored fashion histories of U.S. women of color.”  And aside from the salient social message, the site showcases some gorgeous vintage photos and touching personal stories.

I love to read this blog after a long week at work because I find so many of the photos to be truly inspirational.  It’s wonderful to see how style varied across races, cultures and decades. And since vintage is so hot right now, it’s a really great resource for the budding collector.
