Happy Hour: Red Mist

Feb 25, 2011

On Tuesday, I was sitting in an airport bar waiting for a delayed flight and I decided to order a cocktail.  Typically, I would have ordered onion rings or cheesecake to ease my frustrations, but a cocktail seemed…healthier.  (Don’t judge.)  When I informed the lovely bartender that I liked champagne cocktails, she produced a beverage called Red Mist.

Red Mist Cocktail

One shot of cherry brandy

One shot of cranberry juice

Moet White Star Champagne

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the cherry brandy and cranberry juice.  Pour into a champagne flute or martini glass and add Moet until full.  Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

So what does one wear while sipping a sweet and bubbly cocktail with just the right amount of bite?

Vera Wang Organza Tiered Skirt Dress (Neiman Marcus, $495)

The playful tulle, the vibrant color, the bow, everything about the dress says cocktails and dance parties.  Enjoy!

Happy Hour

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
