New Design, Sort Of

Feb 7, 2011

No, you’re not in the wrong place.  This is still Capitol Hill Style.  I just grew so tired of the old design that I decided to change it.  This is not my final vision for what this site will look like, by any means, but if I didn’t get rid of the ash violet Capitol Building, I was going to snap.

Hopefully, I will soon find a designer who isn’t a) psychotic, b) going to take my money and then disappear, or c) obsessed with putting sunbursts, polka-dots, and curlicues on everything.  All I want is a simple design for under $500, is that to much to ask for?

Apparently.

I like your new design. Nice, simple. Maybe no need for an expensive redesign, if you did manage to find someone.

http://www.frontporchstudio.net if I had a blog, Jessica Nell Graves would DEF be my designer.

I would be happy to help you with your site design. Take a look at my site, and email me if you are interested.

I really like this design. It's nice and clean–why don't you just go with it for awhile?

Liked the old one better. 🙁

For goodness sake, read the post, this design is temporary.

I'm interested in working on your blog. A friend of mine that I work with and myself do a little graphics/coding partnership on the side. He helped me with my blog (still a work in progress itself!), and we'd love to see what we can do for you!

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
