Gift Guide: Belle's Aspirational Wish List

Dec 9, 2010

While traditional Christmas dreams may involve visions of sugar plums, mine involve designer fashions.  Particularly, these five pieces.

Perhaps Santa is feeling extra generous this year?  Or maybe a few grateful readers would be kind enough to start a pool?

1. Vince Sequined Tee (Piperlime, $295)

This item has now been on the site four (?) times.  I guess that means that I like it.  I just wish that I could see it in person so that I could try it on and see how it fits.

2.  Ella Poe Eternity Ring (Max & Chloe, $1,600)

This is a great ring.  If you need a gift for the special lady in your life and you want something different, this band is fantastic.

3.  Bird by Juicy Couture Ellis Blazer, Size 4 (Net-a-Porter, $430)

It’s a shame that this blazer is made by Juicy, but I won’t punish this beauty for the sins of its creator.  After all, it’s a far cry from a velour track suit.

4.  Anya Hindmarch Carker Tote (Net-a-Porter, $995)

This is the perfect tote for traveling.  It would also make a great weekend bag for someone who jetsets to NYC or the beach on a regular basis.

5.  Erdem Margot Printed Dress (Net-a-Porter, $1,440)

Of all the items that I have featured on the blog this year, this is my favorite.  Too bad the price point is so high.  Perhaps if I eat Ramen for all of 2011, I can swing it.

Obviously, I don’t expect to be seeing any of these items under my Christmas tree, but it’s nice to dream of designer attire. Come back this afternoon for my reasonably wish list.

Will you also cover my legal bills since the Ethics Committee says posting my name on this site is no bueno?

Argh, why do my eyes always go to the most expensive thing?

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
