Six Fabulous Belts for Under $75

Nov 3, 2010

I used to do a lot of these posts, but I stopped because I didn’t think anyone really liked them.  But a few of you mentioned that you wanted to see more posts with items under $100 in the “Comments Away” post.  So I’ll post one a week for awhile and we’ll see how it goes.

Having a diverse collection of belts is a great way to boost your wardrobe’s style quotient.  While there are a lot of stylish belts for sale, there is never a good reason to pay more than $75 for a belt.  These six belts would be a great addition to any wardrobe.

Party Sash Belt (J.Crew, $58)

Rachel Roy Perforated Belt ($27)

Elegantly Waisted Nyx Belt (Shopbop, $64)

Manitoba Belt (Anthropologie, $68)

Silence is Golden Belt (Modcloth, $20)

ArtDeco Belt (Fossil, $28)

Love these! Any tips on how to stay at least mildly comfortable while wearing a belt around the waist? It seems like mine either suffocates me or is falling down all day long– neither option is acceptable.

Lovely! Let me just put in my usual plea for plus-sized options, though (over size 18). Please include us!

    Love it!! Great post!

Belts… you found my fashion weakness! I I own close to 20 belts, none of which I paid more than $20 for. R, belts with the elastic stretchy material as part of the belt are amazing at fitting properly without suffocating and not falling down. H&M is my go-to place for these belts and they usually carry sizes from XS to XL.

Thanks, Belle. Love the multiple options. I especially LOVE the last one.

I'm in love with the Anthropologie twist belt…maybe I'll just forgo food for the next week so I can snag it 🙂

  8. Ash says:

I'm now coveting the J.Crew party sash. Over a LBD — in love.

  9. K says:

Great post – love the Fossil Art Deco belt (and the inexpensive price!)

  10. Jenna says:

I love all these belts, but under 75 for a belt is fiscally feasible?? Not for an LC still making under 30 grand a year!

  11. Belle says:

Again, not every item on this blog is priced for an intern to afford. Your average belt costs you $50, and I've seen them as high as $300. If you want a cheaper belt, search a cheaper store for something similar or read a blog that is dedicated solely to cheap fashion.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
