I agree with ~M. Every sleeve on every BR top that I've purchased has come apart. I'm haven't purchased anything from there in months.

Am I the only one shocked by the fact that those J.Crew pants are $275?
MLD: nope.
The prices at JCrew continue their upswing. I mean the site is selling $400 sunglasses. These pants are supposedly made from very high quality wool and will last forever, but luckily, the site still offers less expensive options.
jcrew fall pricing continues to SHOCK!!!! But, alas, as long as we are willing to charge our rent and food money, we will continue to pay. I feell like they are gouging us.
I feel like they're pretty expensive, however, Banana Republic's prices have remained constant while their quality has drastically decreased. The outer seams of everything but one dress I've bought from there in the last year have come undone (that's a lot of things, I've been a slow learner). I'm going to suck it up and start shopping at J. Crew more.

not only has BR's quality dropped, but i haven't been able to anything remotely cute. i worked at j.crew for almost 10 years (during high school, college, and law school), and i agree the fall prices are high, but i know the quality is great. i've had a super 120 suit (which is a “lesser” quality than the pants belle pictured) for more than 5 years; it still fits and you'd never know how many times i've worn it. it's my lucky suit!
for a bargain pant option, i really like the new gap pants. lots of different fits.
Why does everything from J. Crew have to be photographed looking like a homeless person slept in it?
Seriously, if you want me to come up off $275 for a pair of pants, at least make them look crisp and new.
I have found everything from the family of stores that BR is a part of has been declining in quality significantly since about 2003.
