DvF Mermaid Silk Dress (Matches UK, $2,565)
Let’s pretend for a moment that this dress doesn’t cost a month’s pay, and just stare. This gorgeous tiered dress is exotic and complicated and just too gorgeous for words.
Even if you’ve never tasted it, you’ve probably seen bottles of Midori on the shelf at your favorite bar. The square bottles filled with green liquid are unmistakable. The liqueur is made with melons grown in the Yubari region of Japan. The flavor is sweet and tastes like candied honeydew melon. And while many the flavor is nice in moderation, it can be too much on its own. This is why you need to mix it with something drier.
The Midori Mimosa
Add one shot of Midori to a cocktail shaker.
Add champagne, preferably brut.
Shake over ice.
Pour into champagne glass.
How easy is that? It’s like a Mimosa but without the healthy afterglow of orange juice.
What? Any beverage that’s half orange juice can be considered good for you. It’s the start of cold and flu season, vitamin C is essential.

I've been staring at that dress for a few minutes and I still can't decide if it's awesome or hideous.

My midori mimosa sounds delicious! Not sure I would shake the champagne though 😉

That drink looks amaaaazing! I love Midori 🙂
Megan says:
The poor man's way of drinking Midori is to cut it with some Sprite. Midori is very sweet, and the lemon-lime of the Sprite tarts it up just enough.

Ana says:
That dress looks a bit snake-ish.. a little too much like scales. I did try this drink, and it was really good! I would recommend it stirred, not shaken.
Marissa says:
We're trying this drink tonight to celebrate my roommate's birthday! Thanks for the recommendation, Belle.
