NYFW Spring 2011: Street Style

Sep 14, 2010

The designs walking the runway at New York Fashion Week are fabulous, but they’re Spring attire.  What’s a stylish woman in need of a Fall fashion fix supposed to do with chiffon mini dresses and pastel florals?

Luckily, the stylish ladies attending the shows are dressed in the hottest fashions for this season.  So if you crave a little in season inspiration, you need to do a little people watching.

To complete this look you need:

striped sweater dress like this one (Old Navy, $40);

An awesome cognac purse like this Zambos and Siega clutch ($165);

Wedge high heel boots, I prefer the Kelsi Dagger Karina’s ($90) to these lace up wedges;

And one set of gold stack bangles like these Blu Bijoux bracelets ($15).

Harper’s Bazaar

Start with a long navy cardigan like this one from Autumn Cashmere (Bluefly, $70);

Add a slouchy silk button down from Splendid ($116);

A slim fit chino pant in British Khaki (J.Crew, $80);

A braided chain necklace with indigo beads ($10);

Python gladiator sandals for the daring by Via Spiga ($198);

And a green messenger bag like this turnlock satchel from Marc Jacobs ($328).

 Harper’s Bazaar

If you’d like to own the exact dress, it’s Lanvin and costs $2,000

If you can’t afford that, try this black one from Elie Tahari at $178

For a statement necklace with a geometric, ethnic feel, try this $40 one from Asos;

As for the bag, Bebe has a stylish animal print and quilted leather bag for $298;

And last, a simple pair of round toe, mid-heel pumps like the Undine from Vaneli ($110).
