If you like the light, refreshing flavor of mint then you’ll love grasshoppers. Unfortunately, you will probably have to put up with an eye-roll from the bartender, but who’s he to judge? Just make sure that you don’t drink to many and end up going home with the jerk bartender.
The Grasshopper
1-oz creme de cacao
1-oz creme de menthe (green, preferably)
1-oz light cream or half and half
ice
dark chocolate
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake well. Strain into a martini glass and, using a microplane, garnish with shreds of dark chocolate.
Makes 1 drink.
